Education for West Africa launched its first international multicultural school. Seventeen students, ages 4-7, were enrolled. Five days a week, the students attend school where trained teachers teach them English, healthcare, social studies and science. The students also enjoy a variety of fun activities, arts and crafts throughout the day.

Education for West Africa sponsored 58 students. 51 of the students were from grade 7-12 and 7 of the students attend Gambia Technical Institute for engineering studies. Each of the students were selected because they live on the North Bank and have excelled in their studies, but are unable to afford further education. All of the students tuition, book fees and uniform expenses were paid for the year. |
